be released Windows Media Services 9 allows content hosts to offer
subscriptions, Pay per Minute, Pay per View and Real-Time Monitoring for
their customers.
Sylvania, OH
(January 19th, 2003) -- Griffin Digital Solutions announced
today that it will be the primary outlet for the sales of QANTA for Windows
Media Services 9. QANTA offers several revenue streams for Media Content
providers and host that previously were unavailable. These include
Subscription Services, Pay per View, Pay per Minute, Pay per Byte and more.
QANTA provides a secure
SQL database backed digest authentication system. The QANTA security model
offers a new level of content security. QANTA never sends passwords
unencrypted as in systems utilizing BASIC authentication, it uses mutual
authentication to prevent crackers spoofing valid user logins and it is
hardened against replay attacks
QANTA is a
plug-in for Windows Media Services and is there for very modular in design
and will interface with other plug-ins created by Microsoft or third
parties. QANTA also provides a robust API allowing for quick development of
ASP, ASP.NET, Visual Basic, C#, or C++ add-ons by the end-user.
QANTA
Expands Revenue Models for Online Media
QANTA is the
first product that combines Windows Media Services 9 with proven revenue
models. Content providers can now be sure that their content will be safe,
easily accessible, and that both profitability and usability will be
maintained. Previous products for WMS 4.1 were cumbersome to integrate,
require client side applications or we insecure. These problems are solved
with QANTA as its functionality is easy to expand, and its integration is
seamless.
The flexibility
of revenue streams for content providers is unparalleled. QANTA allows end
users to quickly develop new revenue models or expand on existing ones.
Because QANTA reports more data about streams than was previously available,
content providers can make much more educated decisions about ways to
maximize profitability.
QANTA Plans
for Even Larger Suite of Tools
The developers
of QANTA plan to continue to expand the suite of tools QANTA incorporates.
Based on the trends in the industry, and the needs of QANTA’s users
additional tools will be added during the entire run of the QANTA suite.
